you need help

you need help is a critique on consumer culture and the targeting language used throughout the beauty industry. using the language on the packaging and product, i created an exaggerated satirical poster to bring attention to how the beauty industry creates insecurity in order to create desire and drive sales for their products. the beauty industry has created negative connotations with natural, human things, such as aging, acne, being tired, and so many more indicative signs of being alive. the beauty industry might as well be saying “you need help” or “look like a toddler”, things that seem bizarre yet are the sad truths behind their entire marketing scheme.
